The Crossfire Trilogy is complete

***** UPDATE  Hearts on Fire is available at all major ebook retailers***** UPDATE

Hearts on Fire is finally available at Barnes and Noble, at the iBookstore and Sony. I would like to thank  #Smashwords for working tirelessly to ensure that everyone can obtain my books, no matter where they are in the world, or what device they are using.

***** UPDATE  Hearts on Fire is available at all major ebook retailers***** UPDATE

I have noticed from search engine results and from the comments section that readers are looking for Crossfire: Hearts on Fire at Barnes &Noble, the Apple iBook Store and the Sony store. For now, Hearts on Fire can be found at Amazon , Smashwords , Diesel and Kobo.

As a South African, I cannot publish directly to B&N and the iBook store, or even Sony. So I go through Smashwords, who distributes to these online stores. It takes a little while, because Smashwords does a manual review of the book to ensure that they are happy with it before they will give it Premium Distribution. Normally it takes about two weeks for the review, after which they will send it to the various stores. I have found that for the Apple store and for B&N it takes a further two weeks to appear, but with the Sony store, it’s normally a few days.

So, realistically, Hearts on Fire won’t be available at B&N or the Apple iBook store before maybe June 10, or even later. That’s the bad news.

Here’s the good news. Because Smashwords is a distributor for these stores, they have all the formats available in their own retail store. So it doesn’t matter if you have a Nook, a Sony reader, an iPad or an iPhone, you will find the correct format at Smashwords. So for those of you who want to read the third and final book in the Crossfire Trilogy now, please make your way to Smashwords by clicking on the link.

I have also had some enquiries regarding the spinoff novella Driftwood that I wrote for Kindle, which is only available at Amazon. Driftwood will be available at the other stores around the middle of June. Yes, that was a little experiment of mine, which I regret, and I will certainly never again make any book of mine exclusively available at any particular store.

Crossfire, the first book in the Crossfire Trilogy, is available for free at all major online retailers. Everyone, that is, except Amazon. Unlike Smashwords, Amazon does not give me the freedom to decide if I want to give a book away. There is a way around it, though. If enough customers report a lower price elsewhere, Amazon will usually match the price, which in this case, will make Crossfire a free book at Amazon. It’s very easy to do. Just go to the Crossfire page at Amazon, and click on the link that says ‘tell us about a lower price.’ Then you put in the link for B&N or iBook Store or Sony where Crossfire is free, and you’re done. If enough people do that, Amazon will have to react, and I would really appreciate the help.

The trend I’m seeing at the moment is that Amazon customers download the free copy of Crossfire from Smashwords, and then go on to purchase the second and third one from Amazon. This would make it impossible for their collection to be displayed together, because the free copy will be listed as a personal document on their kindle, whereas the Amazon purchased copies will be listed as books. So, please help, it will only take a few minutes of your time.

I would like to thank everyone who has purchased books in the Crossfire Trilogy, and certainly from the feedback I’ve had so far, the books have been well received.

  1. Hello, I Was looking for some new free iBooks to download and happened upon Crossfire. Loved it! I immediately downloaded the 2nd book and read the entire book today! I am heartbroken I can’t download the third one yet! Tried on amazon with no luck and not on iBooks yet. As soon as its available I’m on it! Can’t wait to see what you come up with next! Thanks for a great read! Tracy.

    • Hi Tracy, I’m thrilled that you have enjoyed the Crossfire trilogy thus far. I can assure you that the third book “Hearts on Fire” will be available on iBooks any day now. Smashwords, my distributor, shipped a copy to Apple a week ago, so from past experience I know it will be soon. If you don’t want to wait, you can download the correct format from Smashwords. You’ll see the links at the top of the page. Thanks again for your interest, and happy reading.

  2. I looooovveee your books they absolutely awesome couldn’t put them down. Can’t wait for your next book. Thanks

    • Hi Claire, I’m so happy you’ve enjoyed the books so far. By the next book do you mean Hearts on Fire? Or have you finished the entire trilogy already?

      • Hi Niki, I have read the entire trilogy…I just couldn’t put it down. I haven’t found a book that i can totally immerse myself in for so long. They were fantastic. I will keep my eye out for anything else you write.

      • Thanks for clarifying Claire. A lot of readers are still waiting for the third book to arrive at iTunes and Barnes&Noble, which is why I asked. Thanks for all the wonderful compliments.

  3. Stumbled across the first book on B&N. Loved it! I could not stop until I read all three books. I also read Driftwood and can’t wait to read more about Nancy and Karl. I do hope they find each other again.

    • Hi Gina, I’m thrilled that you have enjoyed my books. I can assure you that I will be publishing a sequel to Driftwood by the middle of next year. Thanks for your interest.

  4. I wish the author would write Karl and Kris’ story. Maybe send Nancy to the island as a doctor?

    • Thanks for your interest, Karen. I plan to bring out a sequel to Driftwood in the middle of 2013. Driftwood was always intended to be just a short story to explain why Karl was lonely and bitter, but it seems that everyone wants a happy ending, So we’ll see what I can come up with.

  5. Hi I have just finished the crossfire series and these where great I could not put then down in fact I’m considering reading them all again, I have even got driftwood book and cant wait to start on that cos I know this will be just as good. but I was really hoping that you may consider doing another book for the crossfire series as I would really like to know happens next.

    • Hi Clare. I have good news. Driftwood ends with some questions unanswered, and I’m bringing out a sequel to Driftwood in August 2013. All the main characters will feature in the sequel. I’m bringing out a new book, the first in a series, at the end of January. But right after that I’m getting started on the Crossfire sequel. So glad to hear you’ve enjoyed the Crossfire books so far.
      Kind regards.

      • Melanie Robinson

Om my goodness, I can’t wait. When I read the end of it I thought, wonder what would happen if that was followed up. Can’t wait.

      • Hi Melanie, thanks for reading Crossfire. I’m busy with other projects at the moment, but I plan to do a followup of the three Crossfire books in the next year or so. In the meantime, I have a new book out, Lily’s Reprieve. It’s free at most retailers at the moment, so pick up a copy if you like. I look forward to hearing from you again.

      • Melanie Robinson

Have to say, after finding this blog today I went and downloaded a kindle version of the new book. Looking forward to reading it. Still looking forward to the new driftwood book when it is published.. Thought I’d read somewhere August 2013.
Oh, re the crossfire series.. loved reading a romance / erotica book with a actual good storyline to it. Thanks xx

      • I had planned the new Driftwood book, entitled Somali Sunrise for August 2013. But time constraints have forced me to evaluate what I can get done this year. I will still do my best, but I don’t think I can make an August deadline. Sorry. I hope you enjoy Lily’s Reprieve. :-)

  6. Hi just finished driftwood and can’t wait for the sequel. looking forward to the new book please let me know when it’s ready so I can be on the look out.And you have no idea how pleased I am to here there will be crossfire sequel I just hope it will be a happy ending for them all. kind regards

    • Hi Clare, I love your enthusiasm. I’m busy at the moment with the final edits of my new book, Lily’s Reprieve. I plan to publish it in the next two weeks. Then I will get cracking on the Crossfire sequel, (as yet unnamed) and hope to have it published by the middle of the year. I will announce it on my blog the minute it is available. Have a wonderful day.

  7. Melanie Robinson

Hi there, got to reading Lily’s Reprieve.. Loved it. Will there be more in that genre? Ie. is it a trilogy?

    • Hi Melanie, I’m thrilled that you loved Lily’s Reprieve. And yes, it is the first book in the Blackstone Trilogy. I hope to have the second book out by Christmas, or January 2014 at the latest. Thanks so much for commenting.

      • Melanie Robinson

Awesome, I thought the ending was pretty open to further books.

      • Yes, we have to have an HEA by the end of the third book. But Lily really messed up and have left me with some challenges to get them back together. But I love a challenge. :-)

  8. How I loved the crossfire series!!! Read it all in 2 days. It was so exciting. Loved the characters. At one point I did not know if I could finish Hearts of fire. The capture of Marcelle was so graphic. Was so glad the way it ended. Just hope you do a follow-up to the series. Am reading Lily’s Reprieve now. Keep them coming. Claudia

    • Hi Claudia. I’m glad you enjoyed reading the Crossfire Trilogy. I loved writing it, and felt quite lost when it was done. I’m planning an additional book sometime in the future, but for now I’m busy writing the sequel to Lily’s Reprieve. I’m calling it Aidan’s Redemption, and it should be available by Christmas. Thank you for taking the time to comment, such lovely compliments are always welcome. Have a great day. 😊

  9. Was wondering if you could give us an idea when the second Lily’s Reprieve book will be out?

    • Hi Mary, the second book in the Blackstone Trilogy, which follows after Lily’s Reprieve, is called Aidan’s Redemption. It will be available on Amazon and Smashwords just before Christmas.
      Thanks for commenting. :)

  10. I just loved loved Crossfire Trilogy!!!!! Couldn’t put them down until I was done. I read a lot and I just loved how you told their story. But now I finished Driftwood. I saw you told someone there is going to be sequel to it coming out in August 2013.. but I can’t find it anywhere!! Is it out yet or when will it be out? I want to know if he gets his happy ever after!!

    • Hi Tara, I’m thrilled that you enjoyed the Crossfire Trilogy. I’m afraid that the fourth Crossfire book isn’t available yet. I was busy writing it in May 2012 when my older brother died in a motorcycle accident.
To say the least, it knocked the stuffing right out of me. I struggled for six weeks to continue the 4th Crossfire book before I shelved it.
I started Lily’s Reprieve (a new project) instead, and am now busy with Aidan’s Redemption, the sequel to Lily’s Reprieve. I think it helped me work through my grief because these Blackstone Trilogy books are fantasy, not reality.
However, time has passed, and I’m eager to continue with the 4th Crossfire book. As soon as I’ve published AR I plan to continue with Crossfire: Somali Sunrise. I anticipate that it will be available late 2014.
I’m sorry to disappoint you. But Lily’s Reprieve is free at all retailers, so perhaps you can give it a try.
      Happy reading. :)

  11. I just finished Reprieve and really enjoyed it. I am eagerly waiting for Aidan’s Redemption, to read and watch Lily and Aidan as they mature into a caring, living couple. Lily has to move from protected a life and Aidan from one so isolated it must have affected him in many ways. You have done a great job showing real life in their fantasy world. December is almost here, Christmas is very near.

    Lessie

    • Hi Lessie, I’m so glad you enjoyed Lily’s Reprieve, and I hope that Aidan’s Redemption will give you just as much reading pleasure. Christmas is just a month away, so you don’t have long to wait. Happy reading. ;)

  12. i just finish the cross fire book i loved it . tomorrow i will be buying the other two icant wait to see what will happen between stefan and marcelle.

    • Hi Liz. I hope the next two books give you many hours of reading pleasure. And if you enjoy paranormal romance, don’t forget that I have another free book, called Lily’s Reprieve, available at all retailers. Have a wonderful day. I hope to hear from you again. :)

  13. I found your crossfire series by accident and read all of them and the two books from the Blackstone trilogy in less than twenty-four hours. You have an amazing gift, and I will be on the lookout for more of your books in the future. Thank you for being an amazing author.

    • Hi Natalie. Wow, you’re a fast reader! But I’m thrilled that you’ve enjoyed my books. Thanks so much for commenting. I hope you have a wonderful weekend. :)
